5 Calls to Action to Try this Week.

A call to action, or CTA, as they are often called, is basically your way of asking followers to engage with you and your content. It is a way to draw them in and create a brand that they love to interact with. And it is absolutely essential. In fact, I consider a CTA to be one of the 5 essential things every social media post should have. (If you want to learn more about that tune into next week’s FREE class.)

Whether you have a high engagement rate or one that isn’t worth mentioning, including a call to action in every post is a great way to begin building a more robust following. Just expecting people to engage will not make it happen. You need to prompt followers and offer them suggestions as to what you’d like them to do. They might not always follow your lead, but they will begin to understand the various ways in which you’d like to interact with them.

But… what exactly should a call to action look like? It should be a subtle request for engagement. And it should be a natural part of the caption/content you craft.

Try these 5 Calls to Action this week:

ONE:: Ask a question and encourage people to leave their answer in the comments.

TWO:: Request your followers opinion or advice on a certain topic matter.

THREE:: Utilize IG story stickers to create instant engagement options that require only an extra tap from your followers. Polls, Questions, Quiz and the Sliding Scale are all a great way to get them engaging quickly.

FOUR:: Suggest they save the post for future reference.

FIVE:: Ask them to share the post with a friend, or tag someone who would find value in the post.
