8 Introduction Post Ideas
Writing an introduction post every few weeks can be a daunting task - especially if you are feeling particularly un-inspired for how to say the same thing all over again without copying and pasting from the last time. Let’s make that an easier process!
I’m sharing a variety of different Introduction Post ideas. You can try one idea each month and have your intro posts covered until Q2 2021! Not bad, right?!
8 Introduction Post Ideas:
ONE:: Share your WHY.
You know I love me a WHY statement. Thanks, Simon Sinek! This simple way of stating your personal or corporate mission is a great way to pull together a new introduction post. Share your WHY and what it means to you. How do you live out your why each day? How does it inform the business you have and the way you do business.
TWO:: Fun Facts.
This one is a pretty classic way to provide quick information about you or your business. Share 4, 6, 10, fun facts that people might not know about you. Be sure that these facts are a mix of interesting/quirky things as well as facts that would specifically interest people who are interested in the services/products you provide. You can break up the fun facts using the number emojis or any other symbol to make it a more visually compelling post.
THREE:: This or That.
Similar to the fun facts post, a this or that is even more basic. You make a list of things that are often at odds and share your preference. Coke or Pepsi? (Coke for this girl!) Night Owl or Early Bird? (more and more I’m an Early Bird) Running or Yoga? (Runner girl - all the way.)
This kind of post is able to convey A LOT of basic information about you in a short amount of time. PLUS, it usually invites others to share their personal preferences along the way. For instance, you can leave your choices in the comments and invite others to do the same.
FOUR:: Tell a Story.
Each of us have a few defining stories in our lives. Those stories that made us who we are. Those events that informed the person we’ve become, the business we have built. It’s always a good idea to have those stories - a long and short version - on hand to pull out at a moment’s notice. Well, the short versions of those stories can make a great introduction post. Something that influenced you to start the business is going to be appealing to your ideal clients.
FIVE:: Behind the Scenes.
This can be a totally separate type of post, but the Behind the Scenes can also serve as an introductory post. If you are working from your home office or your local Starbucks, share a picture of that and tell your followers what it is about that specific space that makes you productive and focused.
SIX:: I Believe Statements.
Share a list of statements that you believe in whole-heartedly. Things that inform the way you think, act, behave and run your business. It could be something deep like, I believe in the innate worth and dignity of every human being. And it could be something fun like, I believe curly girls have more fun. Consider using statements that will convey to your followers who you are, what you believe and what your brand stands for.
SEVEN:: Timeline.
Creating a timeline of significant events in your life or the life of your brand can be another fun and creative way to pen an introduction post. It’s like creating a highlight reel of the essential dates that made you and your brand.
EIGHT:: Top Ten List.
Yes, this one is similar to the fun facts, but you can use it in a variety of way. Top Ten Facts you should know about me. Top Ten Apps that allow me to function every day. Top Ten Books that have changed my life. Top Ten Habits that ensure my day runs smoothly. Top Ten Things you should listen to this week. Top Ten Favorite Songs of all time.
