6 Apps That Make Social Media Easier

I don’t know about you, but there are some apps that I would be unable to function without. Okay, I could function without them but it would take me a lot longer to do the things I do - so I really don’t want to live without them. And when it comes to social media, there are a number of apps I now consider essential. In the spirit of Thanksgiving…

6 apps I’m grateful for because they make my social media life easier:

ONE:: Plann! This app is my go-to for SO many things. Let me tell you just a couple of the ways I use it:

To plan out my upcoming content and see what it will look like in my overall grid.
To write out my captions on a computer, but post from my iPhone. Plann has both a web version and an app making the process seamless.
To create hashtag collections that are then UBER easy to add to posts and tweak as needed.
To study my engagement rate for the overall account as well as specific posts.
To learn which hashtag collections worked best and which need to be re-thought.

TWO:: Lensa! This photo editing app is one of my favorites, probably because it automatically tweaks a photo for you and then you can adjust from there. For someone who loves photography but still isn’t super knowledgeable about how to make a photo look just right with adjustments, this app takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process.

THREE:: VSCO! The only other photo editing app I use. This one saves your editing formulas so you can make sure each photo in your feed has a certain look or feel. I use this for my lifestyle account, ModlyChic, to give the photos a slightly blue hue. I’ll also use this to bring further sharpness to an image.

FOUR:: Canva! Where would I be without this app? I dunno. I use it for everything. Literally. I make all my web presentations on Canva. I make my Pinterest pins and many of my IG Stories. I make carousel posts and graphics for Instagram on here. I make all my client worksheets there too. I love that you can create a Brand Kit, which includes you logos, colors and fonts of preference.

FIVE:: Notes! Yes, this is the basic iPhone notes app. But I use my constantly to capture ideas in the moment. Since it is on both my computer and my phone, it is easy to jot an idea down on one and return to it on the other. I keep a running list of content ideas, blog posts, story ideas, clients, etc…

SIX:: InShot! This app is my go-to for creating IGTV videos or even splicing together videos for a Reel. It’s easy to use and allows you to add text, royalty-free music, stickers, transitions and filters. Plus, you can adjust the canvas to fit a variety of apps from IG Stories to TikTok and beyond.

And if you’re wondering… yes - I have tried hundreds of different apps to make my social media life easier. These are the winners for me, but you might have some that are easier or more intuitive for you. Stick with what works. But if you are looking for some solutions, hopefully these help.
