Creating content multiple times a day for your stories - whether on Instagram and/or Facebook - can be a daunting and time consuming task.

I talk to a lot of people who want to be posting more frequently there, but are unsure of what to post.

It can be hard to figure out what to say, how often to get on, and how to stay relevant without constantly repeating yourself.

Honestly, some of it comes through trial and error. You need to show up and try things to see what is sustainable for you and your brand. You also need to experiment to see what resonates most with your audience.

While you’re getting the hang of things, and learning what works best for you and for your audience, here are a few ideas for your Stories this week, or really any week you are feeling some writer block…

25 Thing To Post to Stories This Week:

  1. The day's to-do list or schedule - give followers a peek into your normal work day. You can update this throughout the day, crossing off the things you’ve accomplished.

  2.  Daily mantra - something that is setting your intention for the hours ahead.

  3.  Inspirational quote - who doesn’t love a little inspo?

  4.  Behind the scenes of your current work day

  5.  Your desktop - could be your laptop open with a current project, or your planner.

  6.  Teaser of an upcoming product - an early look means followers know before an official announcement.

  7.  Morning Coffee/Tea, of that midday pick-me-up.

  8.  Client testimonial - share the latest review or snippet from an email you got.

  9.  Someone else's post that inspired you - it doesn’t always have to be about you and creating new content. Share something in your feed you find inspiring.

  10. Favorite spot to work from outside of the office - coffee shop, backyard, whatever.

  11.  A popular post from last year - look at your metrics and pull a popular post from the last year, or look at the archives and share the post you shared a year ago to the date.

  12.  A poll around a current, or future, offering - making your stories interactive is always a good idea.

  13.  A quiz -You can use this so followers get to know you better, or so you learn about what kind of productive they’d like to see from you in the future.

  14.  What you're listening to now - whether that is a podcast, audiobook, or just a great jam.

  15.  Your most recent IG post - don’t forget to share your own posts to stories too. Sometimes followers will see one but not the other.

  16.  A daily thought to inspire or inform - jump on video and share a thought or brand-related tip.

  17. A peek at the personal - give your followers a little more about what makes you tick outside the business.

  18. Your morning routine - how do you set your day up for success?

  19. Someone who inspires you - if they light you up, chances are they will light up your ideal client too.

  20. Fun fact - about you or your business or your neighborhood or your product.

  21. What you’re reading now - book, article, magazine, blog.

  22. Your Why - what inspires you to get up in the morning and get to work.

  23. Countdown to something new in your business - new product, service, offering, website, etc...

  24. A post you’ve been tagged in by a customer - sharing this makes them more likely to keep sharing about you.

  25. Question for your audience to answer - could be something specific about your business or even a request for them to ask you something they are curious about.
